Description

This cobblestone square is dedicated to Birger Jarl, commonly viewed as the founder of Stockholm. It is his statue on the pedestal. The great building behind the statue is The Wrangel Palace, and it has been used by the Civil & Criminal Court of Appeal since 1756. To our right is The Hessenstein Palace, built in 1630 and today used by the Environmental Court. A beautiful evening around historically important buildings.
